Hello

And welcome to my blog. As the first post should try and really grab some attention lets see where I stand on a few controversial issues:

1) Stem Cell Research: All for it. In fact, all for cloning, come on seriously, we won't know if they are evil until we clone a few, right? Also very much for curing diseases above satisfying other people's religious viewpoints. Like blood transfusions, you can always refuse treatment if it is against you religion.

2) Abortion: Now, having seen the above post, you would think I was all for abortion, but really, I'm not. If you can bear the child, then do it and put it up for adoption. This may need to be combined with a big push for people who complain that they can't afford IVF to adopt kids.

3) Politics: No, not yet, too much to say.

4) Voting age?: OK, this should be raised, to at least 21, but at the same time, you either can't be taxed if you can't vote, or the minute you start taxable employment you get the vote. Otherwise the whole thing that America rebelled over (Taxation without representation) should but (given today's apathy) won't happen again.

5) AIDS: It's not a disease that only faggots get (sorry for using the perjorative term, but there's no point in writing to those who are already onside). It's now the main cause of death in South Africa, and there are really far too many people in Africa with AIDS. Now, A lot of people have been blaming the Catholic church for this, (you can't use condoms) but to be fair, if you are gonna be that faithful, you shouldn't be having sex outside of marriage so the whole thing should not be a problem. The problem is the catholics who think using a condom is worse than having random sex with a prostitute (or whatever) in God's eyes. Also don't blame the US for not supplying anti HIV drugs, none of them work, they simply delay the inevitable, and given the amount of HIV positive people in Africa, are uneconomical. Now I feel the drug companies have missed a trick here, they could surely test the new vaccines etc. in Africa away from the FDA and European counterparts among many willing volunteers. (If you don't think they would volunteer...go to Africa).

6) I now realise I am trying to get lots of people to read this and respond (see above) but this may be a bit tartish. I don't care

7) Also I believe the key to a good blog introduction is brevity and wit. I now realise I've probably missed both, but, given the same mandate as TV networks, I need publicity. I am not one for the small growth (although obviously tell your friends).

8) File Sharing: I am a big fan. Now, I can see the arguments for artists and performers getting paid for their efforts, but if Tom Cruise is really worth 50 Million for a couple of weeks work, that is only because he is an arrogant bastard. I am all for all actors being paid a fair wage, possibly this could be a percentage of the take per part or some such, however, these top dollar actors getting paid absurd amounts to act with no justification is sickening (as an actor). But once everything evens out (as I suspect it will very soon) I think there will be a sharp move in Hollywood away from the big names as they realise they can get the same sales with a nobody and a large marketing budget.

9) Can people please write in with any other controversial subjects for dissection in the next issue. Comments about this issue will also be dealt with. I promise to answer every comment.

Know thyself.

Until Next Time
